After years of bronzing, itching, chewing, countless trips to the vet for cortisone and antibiotics we knew there had to be an alternative. So we looked at their diet. We discovered that 90% of skin problems were directly related to diet.
We started preparing home cooked meals and changed to a very high quality kibble. In a couple of months things started to change. Their coats got fuller, the hot spots started to go away and they stopped chewing as much.
Then we read about raw food feeding and "barf" and haven't looked back since. If you were to see our 12 year old and her full healthy looking coat, you would understand. Our dogs have not had to visit the vet for skin related problems since, and that's been five years ago.
We discovered a huge market for raw food and meaty bones. A lot of folks interested in feeding their companion pets with the best nutrition possible. We help them to do just that, and save the work of preparation.
After a year of working out of our basement, we moved into a quaint commercial space, and that's where "The Natural Pet Pantry"... Dog Food Bar and Deli was born.
